WORAPONG ELECTORAL AREA GETS LIGHT

The District Chief Executive for Atwima Nwabiagya North District Assembly, Hon. Rebecca Yeboah, and the Member of Parliament for Atwima Nwabiagya North Constituency, Hon. Benito Owusu-Bio, have commissioned a rural electrification for the people of Worapong Electoral Area.

The people of Worapong, Adagya, Boahenkwaa 1 & 2, Atamso, Ataase, and other related communities under the watch of the Assembly have over the years slept in darkness, whereas others used solar lamps and torches to keep their rooms crystal clear.

The Hon. MP, in his assurances, has that the people will have light for their businesses and use light for other things before he leaves office. And low and behold, the assurance was made possible on Wednesday, the 4th of

They were accompanied by the District Information Officer of Atwima Nwabiagya North District, Party Faithfuls, Parliamentary Candidate Elect, Hon. Frank Yeboah, Electrical Company of Ghana (ECG)-Offinso, and others who formed the party of the ceremony. In her address, the Hon. DCE thanked the President for acknowledging their demand and urged users of the electricity to be circumspect with the power they generate as well as loads they later compound on the transformers. She called for votes come Saturday, the 7th of December 2024, when Ghana goes on polls to elect President and Parliamentary Candidates.
Hon. Yeboah asked voters to exercise their franchise in a peaceful manner.

Hon. Benito was extremely excited for the promise made possible and called on voters to be more peaceful in the election come December 7 and not resort to electrical violence.

The team turned on lights in the areas aforementioned and made sure indeed light had materialized in the areas before setting off.

Residence who shared their joy could not have enough words and appreciation expressed considering how far they have lived in darkness under the watch of torches and lamps and now a full light. They only prayed the government would continue with his deeds for his people. They promised to adhere to what has been shared by the ECG officials and make sure the lights were not tempered with.
