As an annual ritual to plant trees to combat climate condition and make Ghana a green country, the Atwima Nwabiagya North District has joined the nationwide tree planting on Friday, 7th June, 2024.
The event was held at the forecourt of the District Assembly.

Which brought together the District Coordinating Director, Mr S.M Abdul Rahman in place of the Hon. DCE who was on official assignment, FRM Amofa Oduro of the Forestry Commission – Nkawie, Staffs, farmers, onlookers, and all sundry to the ground occasion.
Mr Abdul Rahman, encouraged Ghanaians and globally to plant trees for the fight against climate change could be realized collectively.
He assured his people and interested Ghanaians of enough seedlings ready for planting from the nearest Assembly.

The DCD said, Mahogany, Cedrella, Emire, oil Palm, Coconut, Framoo in enough quantity were at the disposal of the Assembly.
Observers expressed their optimistic over the tree planting exercise that it would make the country more greener and healthy and that government must get involved.
