TWO DAYS CAPACITY BUILDING HELD FOR ASSEMBLY MEMBERS

The Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development (MLGRD), in partnership with
The Institute of Local Government Studies (ILGS) has held a two-day capacity building for Assembly members in Atwima Nwabiagya North District Assembly as part of their nationwide orientation on Friday, 4th, and Saturday, 5th October 2024, at the district assembly’s conference hall.

In the event were officials from the Ministry and the Institute of Local Government Studies (ILGS), newly elected and appointed Assembly Members of various electoral areas, District Coordinating Director, Mr. S.M. Abdul Rahman, Deputy Director, Ms. Adwoa Konadu Yiadom, District Information Officer, Mr. Augustine Agyei, and related stakeholders.

 


In his opening remarks, the District Coordinating Director (DCD), Mr. S.M. Abdul Rahman, urged participants to make input and contribute where necessary for the benefit of the orientation and assembly.
In the event, matters involving conflicting members were brought to light, which helped in the deliberation.
Participants were grateful to all parities for the orientation. They were optimistic that the learning would be of much impact on their day-to-day encounter with electorates.
